Shibo spent his Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, X Space on Satoshi’s June and July 2010 emails about stronger hashes.
Background
In June 2010, Satoshi Nakamoto called SHA-256 very strong. If needed, he wrote, the network could agree on the honest chain and switch to a stronger hash.
How it works
A July 2010 reply said a gradual shift would leave room to move to something stronger. Coins could be re-signed with a stronger signature scheme.
Shibo called Bitcoin software designed to be upgraded from the start. Stronger hashes and signatures were part of the design.
He described Bitcoin’s builders as cryptography experts. He said the code reflects careful thinking.
A guest added that a larger hash mainly takes more processing power.
Speakers noted that SHA-256 also underpins everyday web connections. That shows how widely it is trusted.
Why it matters
The segment told Bitcoin’s story as upgrade history. It was calm and educational.
Shibo said his biggest early regret was criticizing projects before he knew how hard building is. That lesson changed how he sees builders.
He advised forming your own opinions and looking at what people have built. After a setback, he said, get back on the bike.
Shibo turned the regret into a message. Build more and judge less.
A longtime member said steady builders stay focused on their own work. He added that the founders look out for everyone.
Speakers said the community would keep building no matter what technology does. The goal is helping members level up.
Anyone can start with a starter dog and grow. Members rise by staying involved.
Shibo, co-founder of Doginal Dogs, said the project began as a free mint. It is bigger than ever across card games, the metaverse, NFTs and events.
The DDL card game drew an amazing response after its latest drop. Card shops reached out to stock the cards.
Shops asked for physical cards for their shelves. Shibo called it growing demand.
Shibo said the Dog Talk stage becomes Dog Pod at DD Miami, Dec. 7-9. It is a sit-down podcast format with a high-quality setup.
Attendees sign up to record content there.
DDL card fans will also gather at DD Miami as a community. More details will follow.
Dog Pod gives members a place to create together. Shibo urged people to stay positive and use their heads.
For the Doginal Dogs community, discussions like this are part of Shibo’s daily X Spaces on the Crypto Spaces Network (CSN).
